The Archivist Committee maintains the historical record of the Home & Garden Club through the website, club documents, roster, and pictures.
The Audit Committee ensures our funds are in order by an annual examination of club expenditures compared to the bank balance.
The Budget Committee is responsible for collecting budget requests from Committee Chairs and establishing an adequate, yet sustainable budget.
In order to maintain the integrity and professionalism of the Club, the Bylaws Committee is responsible for recommending and bringing to vote any updates or amendments to the Bylaws that are needed.
Health, wellness, and community support are important to the Home & Garden Club. The Care & Concern Committee is responsible for communicating permitted information regarding hospitalizations, illnesses, deaths, or general requests for love and support on behalf of members of our community and Club. This committee ensures members feel supported by sending cards or flowers.
The Communications Committee maintains the brand and image of the Home & Garden Club through all outlets of communication. General correspondence, social media presence, newsletters, and documents are managed by members of the this committee.
The Beautification Committee is responsible for the upkeep and beauty of the community beautification projects, including the restoration of a mid-1800’s cemetery within Loch Lloyd grounds, the Labyrinth, and the Tranquility Garden. This committee works hard to add wildlife statuary, research landscaping projects, plant gardens, and ensure the community maintains its remarkable appearance.
Membership of the Conservation/Bluebird Committee consists of those that love nature and the outdoors. In season they meet weekly to check the progress of bluebird activity in the nesting boxes on the trails here in Loch Lloyd. Activity is recorded and submitted to the Missouri Bluebird Society. In addition, they repair and relocate any bluebird houses as necessary.
The Field Trips Committee is responsible for researching, planning, and arranging several fun and educational field trips every year. They encourage members to present ideas for trips, such as public gardens, growing fields, vineyards, home design venues, and home tours.
Fundraising ideas will be analyzed by the Fundraising Committee and Club Treasurer to establish viability of the project before presenting to the membership. If approved, volunteers will move forward with the event, and monies collected will be passed to the Treasurer for presentation to the membership.
The Home and Garden Tour committee is responsible for planning and executing a specific Home and Garden Tour. This Tour is a special project of the LLH&GC held periodically with the goal of all LLH&GC members participating to raise funds for a selected charity. A Home and Garden Tour generally takes place every third year in the spring, with at least a year of preparation in advance.
The Membership Committee actively seeks out new members for club membership from within the Loch Lloyd community as well as members of The Country Club at Loch Lloyd who are eligible to join. This committee introduces new members at the club meetings and helps them become integrated into the Club. The welcome table at meetings is hosted by members of this committee.
This committee is responsible for nominating candidates for the offices of President and Treasurer and for Vice-President and Secretary. The Nominating Committee Chair is appointed by the president.
The Philanthropy Committee works to select non-profit organizations in our community and organize opportunities for the membership to participate by giving time and/or donations to support these organizations.
The Plant 411 committee is a forum for members to exchange information about anything to do with plants. If you have questions or knowledge about plants, this committee is for you! The Program Committee is a motivated hands-on committee responsible for the monthly programs of the Loch Lloyd Home & Garden Club, including brainstorming ideas, securing speakers, and coordinating the luncheon and all creative aspects of décor and table arrangement at the meeting.
The Social Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of a social gathering when requested by the club membership.
